Cooper Davis Memorial Foundation-Fentanyl Awareness & Education

$
The mission of the Cooper Davis Memorial Foundation is to help spread awareness around the dangers of counterfeit pills so that we can save families the heartache of losing a loved one. Every life is precious and we want to prevent others from making that one choice that could have a deadly outcome.
Less than one month after our 16 year old son, Cooper, tragically lost his life after taking a fake pill he didn't know contained fentanyl, the DEA issued a Public Safety Alert warning the public of the alarming increase in the lethality and availability of fake prescription pills containing fentanyl. This PSA was part of the DEA’s One Pill Can Kill public awareness campaign to educate the public of the dangers of counterfeit pills. The age group most impacted by this new opioid crisis is teenagers. Much of this fentanyl is being sold to our children on social media apps like SnapChat. A fatal dose of fentanyl is small enough to fit on the tip of a pencil.
